Join us for a Ways of Knowing panel and discussion featuring , an internationally-known expert in multicultural education, on Friday, April 1 from 9 to 11 a.m. in SPU’S Upper Gwinn Commons. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Gay and several other scholars will explore and reflect on ways º£½ÇÍø know (epistemology) and how that affects us as college educators and learners. Their topic is especially relevant today, given recent campus-wide discussions about race, ethnicity, and culture.
Dr. Gay has written several scholarly works, including Culturally Responsive Teaching and At the Essence of Learning: Multicultural Education. She also serves on the author team of the Scott Foresman New Elementary Social Studies Series.
