MODE Fashion Club students Kate Taggert and Stephanie Menegon were interviewed about their latest designs for a segment on the KING-TV morning show "New Day NW" on May 15. The segment also featured student models wearing the fashion designs, which were also feature at the annual MODE Fashion Show on May 11.

University women's rowing team battled some of the toughest competition in the country for the chance to be called the 2024 GNAC Champions on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons took the gold medal in the Varsity 4+ but fell just five points short of the title and finished in fourth.

The Center for Faithful Business  will feature Dr. Richard Stearns, president emeritus of World Vision U.S. He will deliver the evening’s lecture, “Lead Like It Matters to God.” Joe Sprague, regional president of Hawai’i-Pacific for Alaska Airlines, will be the evening’s lecture respondent. The SPU Art Department is pleased to present the  This culmination of artworks features projects by students Chloe Christopher, Alfie Riley, Seorin Park, and Kade Franco. Though diverse in style, their works all hold the central message of honoring the human experience.

in • finite brings together a dynamic collection of paintings, each offering a unique perspective on the world through the lens of these emerging artists. Through bold brushstrokes and intricate details, to imagined worlds and dynamic storytelling; the artworks on display showcase the depth and breadth of talent nurtured within this creative community.

The exhibition in the SPAC Gallery in the º£½ÇÍø Pacific Art Center will be on view through Friday, May 17.

SPU welcomes Rev. Dr. Sam Wells, vicar of St. Martin-of-the-Fields in London, for a special evening lecture on Tuesday, May 21. Wells is a widely known preacher, pastor, author, theologian, and institutional leader.

"Here I Stand With God: A Christology Contra Mundum for Today” is the title of a special lecture with Rev. Dr. Sam Wells, vicar of St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London. He is a regular contributor to Christian Century magazine and "Thought for the Day" on BBC Radio 4’s Today program. He is the author of 46 books, including works on Christian ethics, mission, ministry, scripture, liturgy, and preaching. This event requires no registration and is free. It will be video-recorded.

An annual event at SPU since 1978, the Palmer Lecture Series "seeks to bring the best minds and hearts in Wesleyan theology and biblical studies to campus to discuss the Christian faith from a Wesleyan perspective." The lectureship is held in honor of Alfred Palmer, a pastoral leader in Western Washington for more than half a century.
