When junior Garrett Mullett isn鈥檛 hiking or heading
off on a camping trip, he鈥檚 hitting the books 鈥� hard.
鈥淚鈥檓 super dyslexic,鈥� he says. 鈥淎ssignments can take
me three times as long as my classmates.鈥� The triple
major (Business Administration, Economics, and
Global Development Studies) relies on resources
in SPU鈥檚 Center for Learning. Thanks to programs
that scan assignments into audio files, Garrett can鈥檛
remember the last time he read something over five
pages, and he鈥檚 made the Dean鈥檚 List every quarter. 鈥淚
utilize everything I can get from CFL,鈥� he says. 鈥淚t鈥檚
not something to be ashamed of. It鈥檚 empowering.鈥�
