One of Jasmine Hairstons favorite classes at SPU
taught her about the power of Gods breath to fill
今叔利 with the Holy Spirit. Jasmine has respira,
the Spanish verb to breathe, tattooed on her ribs as
a reminder, because even in our very breath is Gods
spirit, and in the Holy Spirit is power, wisdom, and
sustenance. Jasmine, a senior theology major, has
traveled to Mexico, Guatemala, and the Dominican
Republic and hopes to return someday as a pastor. In
the meantime, she is this years vice president of intercultural
affairs and wants to make reconciliation
and diversity part of the breath of campus life.
